Did You Know Michael Rapaport Plays A Special Needs Child’s Father On ‘Atypical’ Yet Maliciously Uses The Awful Term ‘Retard’ To Disparage People?
Michael Rapaport is an actor currently starring in the Netflix show, “Atypical”, which has completed two seasons. In the show, Michael Rapaport is the father to a special needs child who is afflicted by Autism. The show centers around the kid to the point the description of the program predominately features not only the child, but his disability:
Yes, Michael Rapaport is acting as the Autistic child’s father, but one would think the real life Michael Rapaport would be at least sympathetic to the struggles of those with special needs. At least to the point where he’d never, EVER maliciously call people by universally derogatory terms that nobody should use in this day and age, right? Wrong.
Wow. The first three Tweets are despicable. There’s no other way to describe them. What does going “Full R-word” have to do with going “Full Iverson”? I don’t know, either. But then you have Rapaport calling a defenseless child “Shorty”, possibly insinuating that the kid “Rides The Short Bus To School” (an extremely derogatory reference to special needs children). Unacceptable on all fronts. This isn’t hyperbole, his Twitter wasn’t “Hacked”, and nobody is putting any words in Michael Rapaport’s mouth. MICHAEL RAPAPORT ACTUALLY PUT THIS STUFF OUT THERE ON HIS OWN. The fact this man is allowed to have a platform is a disgrace.
For shame, Michael Rapaport. For shame.
